Australian higher education third party arrangements: an independent institute case study

The marked increase in transnational higher education third party arrangements recent years represents globalizing forms of education. Third involve a partner institution being approved to deliver the primary institution’s government-accredited courses. institute is accountable for monitoring and documenting quality assurance responsible meeting required standards. This arrangement particularly attractive students who want undertake an accredited degree from overseas, while retaining close relational, industry cultural links home country. There has been some examination parties focused on equity, transcultural pedagogy, assurance. However, little research done regarding Australian context. Alphacrucis College one largest non-university, faith-based independent institutes Australia with three onshore Sydney Melbourne, as well two offshore Finland Philippines. Based case study including participant observation staff survey, this argues that success largely result shared values collaborative relationships. These are outworked professional development mentoring learning teaching, joint scholarship projects, equity student experience through resourcing, effective governance built trust.
